Spatial Economics of Sustainability and Climate Change:
This research area adresses questions related to the spatial dimension of climate change mitigation and sustainable development. A large part of this research agenda concerns the development of cities, in particular urban form, part of it deals with trade and consumption-based emissions accounting. Further reserach questions deal with the decarbonisation of the transport sector as well as connections between geographical economics, growth theory and sustainability.
